I often get out to customer's sites, and it’s amazing what you find out.

I was recently at a customer’s and they started up Jim2, then proceeded to open the Schedule... wait... wait... wait... it took over a minute to open!

Now these guys make heavy use of the Schedule in Jim2, huge amounts of tasks, resources etc. and just assumed that’s the way it is, but this was unacceptable to me. As soon as I got back to the office we revamped the Schedule loading in v3.2. It now loads for this customer in under 4 seconds.

On a sad note, said customer advised they can no longer make a coffee after logging in...

Another customer had incredibly wide screens (which Jim2 just loves btw), but even I was having difficulty working out which line on a list I was actually on. Everywhere we can in v3.2, the current line is now highlighted in pale blue. Much nicer!

Both these things were quick and simple for us to fix, and benefit everyone – we simply didn’t know. Little things can make a big difference when you do it all day every day.
