Introducing Full Document Management to the ranks of powerful features in the latest release to Jim2 Business Engine. Full Document Management offers incredible new ability to manage and integrate documents as part of the workflow in Jim2 Business Engine.

Consider the documents in your business – customer contracts, plans, brochures, manuals, site photographs, product images, certificates and licences – any document used day-to-day in your business can be linked to its Job, Quote, Stock, CardFile, Purchase Order, Item, and Project – and easily be found whenever you need it.

This enhancement includes User Access Security and Full Version Control to handle formal document management requirements (ISO 9000, for example). Add any document format (images, PDFs, Microsoft Office documents, websites) using drag and drop functionality to build a secure documents resource centre.

New Database Layer

The latest release introduces a new database access layer to Jim2 Business Engine. In basic terms, the way Jim2 talks to Microsoft SQL server. This increases database access by up to 50%, and allows us to offer support for the latest Microsoft SQL Server
version 2014.

New Scripting Engine

The new scripting engine in Jim2 v4.0 enables us to move to the latest technology, and provide many additional benefits to all Jim2 users. The biggest opportunity is the inclusion of ‘Server Side’ scripting, which basically means we can offer many powerful Jim2 reports to Jim2 Mobile, traditionally only accessible from your Jim2 desktop.

Jim2® Mobile Signable Reports

The latest exciting addition to Jim2 Mobile empowers staff with the tools to record a customer's signed approval on the spot via their iOS device.

Professionalism is key with the newly signed report stored directly in Jim2 with every important detail. And the customer can receive their very own copy.

Especially useful for signed service forms, quote acceptances and delivery receipts, Signable Reports really takes mobile into a new level of versatility for all front line staff.

Labour Everywhere

Following the amazing success of labour timers in Jim2 Mobile, we've enhanced the same powerful stopwatch functionality on your desktop.

Gain greater insight into how much time you actually spend on tasks. Find new ability to measure and report on actual labour spent working on new orders, maintaining documents, organising purchase orders, processing stock adjustments, performing stocktake and taking care of returns. Just to name a few.

And find enhancements to bulk timesheet entry, with ability to add multiple labour entries for individuals and multiple staff.

The Jim2® Look

Jim2 now sports the very latest Microsoft Office style interface with a clean, flat look and updated flat icons, bringing a sleek look and feel to the forefront.

Enhancements in this release offer you the ability to personalise Jim2 by reordering the Jim2 Navigation Tree into an order that arranges what you use most to the top of the Nav Tree.

An exciting fact is the change is also reflected in your Jim2 Ribbon and Jim2 Mobile menu.

Also, drag and reorder any pinned lists found in your Navigation Tree, and drag ‘Objects’ out of your pinned list.

Running Jim2 in more than one business? Why not personalise the colour schemes by change the skin colour and accent of each database to help you differentiate them in seconds.

And, see the new icons around Jim2. Labour Timesheets is now found in CardFiles and new icons featured at the bottom of Jim2's workspace help you to easily switch between Comments, Watchouts, Notes, Tasks and Labour.

Bank Reconciliation

You can now search and sort Jim2 Bank Reconciliations with the very same functionality found in Jobs and Orders lists. Sort rows, group columns and search for particular entries in any number of ways, plus easily export the Bank Rec to Excel, or conveniently print the Bank Rec directly from Jim2 Business Engine.

Payments and Refunds

The latest enhancements to Retail/POS functionality streamline payments to enable sales and retail staff to process prepayments and refunds seamlessly, without additional access to the Debtors section of Jim2 Business Engine. Now staff can accept payments for amounts outstanding, or simply take a part payment. Jim2 tracks each payment received and presents the total balance owing.

The latest release also enables sales staff to process customer refunds directly from a Job, CardFile and Customer Returns to the customers without additional security requirements.

eBusiness Connect

Manage feeds from hundreds of vendors with enhancements to eBusiness Connect Vendor Stock feeds. The latest release includes new search capabilities, supplier filtering functionality and functionality to display a specific Vendors stock in a new tab.

Simply select multiple suppliers whose stock you want to see, and even narrow it down to just your stock. eBusiness Connect also handles receiving stock feeds including multiple vendors in one feed, sorting the suppliers' stock automatically, and enabling you to organise unsorted stock.

Jim2® Help File

Over the past two years, we’ve made it a key focus to overhaul the Jim2 Help File. In that time, we’ve updated the look and feel of the resource, revisited many of the primary functions of Jim2 and adding the latest functionality to the valuable support resource.
